Patrol Dog, Security Dog, Attack Dog and Personal Protection Dogs

The combination of a security dogs handler and security dog are the ideal choice for the following scenarios;

  • Protecting large open areas such as Golf Courses, Schools, Recreation areas and Parks.
  • Patrolling areas with restricted line-of-sight such as large Construction yards and Projects, Warehouses and Transport yards.
  • For areas that could prove to be too dangerous for a lone security guard. Underground Car Parks, Shopping Centres and other high crime areas.
  • For protection of persons and property that may be under threat.

A Ministry security dog handler with a highly trained security dog makes an unbeatable combination for your relevant purposes

About Security Dogs

A security guard dog is trained to pick up on intruders or hidden persons by scent, sight or sound, to protect their handler. They are trained to stand their ground and showing controlled aggression when confronted with threatening behaviour and are able to detain a suspect until the authorities arrive to deal with a situation.

What breeds are used for what purpose?

The breeds currently trained at our in-house Training School are German Shepherds and Rottweiler for security dog patrols; English Spring Spaniels and Labradors for drug, arms and explosives detection.
